Right, so the Deadpool solo movie comes out in a few short weeks and the prospect has everyone hyped for some raunchy, gruesome and (hopefully) hilarious action. But if the latest teaser is anything to go by, we’ll get all of those except the whole “hilarious” part. The teaser, which is apparently a legit scene in the movie, is pretty low even for the Merc with a Mouth’s standards. But I digress.

Any casual Marvel fan will tell you that Wade Wilson is at his best when he’s swearing and brutally murdering people, but the new clip leaves much to be desired. He is, well… kind of human after all, so it’s understandable that Deadpool has a love interest in his latest adventure. Morena Baccarin is a beautiful, talented actress, and well-worthy of playing Vanessa Carlyle, aka Copycat. But this latest clip? I don’t know about this man. You’ll just have to watch the latest Deadpool teaser for yourself:

So yeah, Deadpool literally pulls a ring pop out of his ass and uses it to propose to his gorgeous lover, who is totally unaware of the candy’s origin. In the anti-hero’s defense, it does align with the sort of behavior we’ve come to expect from the eccentric mercenary. But if she actually ends up putting that in her mouth, I may just have to throw up in my $12 popcorn.

But seriously, beyond the disgusting proposition of what’s to come in this scene, the overall structure and dialogue of this moment is pretty poor. It’s not really funny, and frankly, is venturing into Adam Sandler-esque territory. But we’ll have to be forgiving considering that all of the other clips shown thus far actually do look quite entertaining. This above video is probably the worst scene in the entire movie, so better to get it out now (no pun intended) then spring it on audiences come Valentine’s Day.

Deadpool arrives in theaters on Feb. 12.
