Christmas lights don’t make Negan’s bat Lucille any less intimidating. Dead Rising 4 has released a 20-minute Yule Log video in honor of the holidays and the game’s upcoming launch.
There’s no guns. No zombies. No blood. Just a nice fire and a baseball bat wrapped in Christmas lights instead of barbed wire. We think Negan would be proud. Check out the video below to get into Dead Rising 4 ’s version of the Christmas spirit.
Negan and Frank are pretty similar. Both are tough men, both like the F-bomb, both like to smash zombies. I mean, Negan is definitely more of a dick but we think he’d like Frank, so long as he stays on his good side. It would be awesome to see Frank in a leather jacket and red scarf holding the faux Lucille. That would be a great nod to Walking Dead fans.
As far as what’s coming up in the Dead Rising franchise, fans can expect a lot of new aspects to the game. Dead Rising 4 Executive Producer Bryce Cochrane recently spoke to GamesIndustry.biz about the backlash the studio faced about past games. Cochrane hopes fans will welcome the changes and understand they want to keep the franchise alive for as long as possible.
“One of our goals is to really make a product that means we can make Dead Rising 5, 6 [and] 7,” Cochrane said. “That involves expanding and changing the franchise, and therefore sometimes we need to take risks. That means some people will be upset with what you did.”
Change can be good. We hope there’s more pop culture Easter Eggs waiting in Dead Rising 4 . Dead Rising 4 will be released for the Xbox One and PC on Dec. 5.
