This news arrives just days after YouTube’s JackSepticEye and Strawburry17 were announced as the hosts of the proceedings. With over a million subscribers on each of their respective channels, these internet personalities clearly know how to resonate with gamers. In that sense, it’s beyond appropropriate for the duo to offer its insight on the reveals as soon as they happen. On the official side, Disney Chairman Jimmy Pitaro will be on hand to keep the crowd entertained as well.

In terms of what to expect from the stream, the official release shows art related to Kingdom Hearts 3, Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Marvel’s Spider-Man. We’d have to imagine those titles will be the biggest features of the afternoon. Ironically enough, however, each title was also prominently shown during E3 last month as well.

It seems a bit strange that fans would be privy to additional glimpses just one month later, but, given the massive scope and hype for these projects, we suppose it makes sense. During a recent interview, Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura said the D23 trailer will show new but normal details about the upcoming third installment. Star Wars Battlefront 2 ’s single-player campaign was noticeably absent from the public side of E3, and Spider-Man has offered so little that there’s plenty more to show before the full game releases next year.

Of course, we can’t imagine Disney would spend an entire 60 minutes devoted to just three games. We also know that a bevy of Star Wars titles are being developed inside Visceral Games, Respawn Entertainment and other Electronic Arts studios. There’s also The Avengers game from Crystal Dynamics to consider too. A small tease for some of these more distant projects doesn’t seem too out of the question considering the hardcore crowd that will be tuned in to this particular show. After all, the event’s description does say a few “show-stopping moments” are on the agenda.

Beyond games, D23 is typically when Disney unveils new trailers for its upcoming lineup of films as well. Folks with any interest in Marvel, Star Wars or the in-house movies will want to pay close attention to these links all weekend long for the latest on live-action remakes, Toy Story 4 and a whole lot more.
