‘Clash Of Clans’ Update: Supercell Responds To Player Issues, Bugs Clash Of Clans

Clash Of Clans has a brand new update. Despite its “optional” nature, it’s something that all players should install. Drag-and-drop bugs have been fixed, and most of the Halloween accoutrements are gone. Overall, it provides a better experience.

As some of those that installed the recent Halloween update will know, drag-and-drop features were broken in the army training window. While this shortcoming triggered some positive glitches that allowed cheap training for fewer resources than normal, it also made it more difficult for players to manage their troops and implement attack strategies effectively. Both problems have been addressed in today’s version 8.551.24 patch.

That’s the good news. Unfortunately for those that loved the recent spooky aesthetic, that’s since been mostly reverted to its normal look. To help make the transition less harsh, the game’s developers at Supercell have left in the Scary Pumpkin obstacle for the time being. At the very least, it’s a quick and easy way to grab a little XP for troops.

While Supercell has classified today’s update as purely optional, it’s important to reiterate just how mandatory it actually is. Troop training is one of Clash Of Clans’ hallmark features right now, and all serious players need it to work correctly if they want to succeed in battle.

Currently the update is rolling out across the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android. When it’s your turn to download, the update will become available in the standard app update interface of either platform. Simply install it and enjoy the fix.

Clash Of Clans is available now as a free download for Android and iOS.
