Clash Of Clans finally has its Builder back, and a new update brings back Birthday Boom, Giant’s Surprise and the Battle Ram for a limited time. Clashiversary specials will be out in full force over the next few days.

The news arrived just hours ago, and it comes bundled with a classic Clash Of Clans video. The Clashiversary troops caused chaos in the universe, so a letter was dispatched to beg the Builder to come back home. Thankfully, he’s answered the call and will be returning to his normal post.

Before that happens, though, there are a few things clashers should know. We’ve talked about the Battle Ram, Giant’s Surprise and Birthday Boom in the past, but we’ll recap some of those previous strategies for those who missed out. The Battle Ram spawns a swarm of low-level Barbarians to bust down walls, and it can be used in place of the standard Barbarian. The Birthday Boom, on the other hand, substitutes for a Lightning Spell with an added stun effect. Use it on large groups of troops. Giant’s Surprise is more of a distraction that’s most effective against slow-fire troops like the P.E.K.K.A. and Dragon. It’s a decent additive to village centers.

It’s worth noting the Witch’s Shrink Trap seems to be conspicuously absent from this particular event. Hardcore community members expressed frustration that the limited-time trap was unbalanced after its release, so maybe that’s why Supercell decided to exclude it from the set. It’s the only Clashiversary troop not involved with this week’s promotion.

With the Clashiversary grand finale seemingly underway, we’re curious to know what’s next for the Builder. After constructing real-world P.E.K.K.A. statues and Tesla Towers is Brooklyn and Shanghai, will he take those talents and contribute to the next Builder Base update in a significant way? We can’t wait to find out.

This latest Clash Of Clans event arrives one week after Clan Wars matchmaking adjustments significantly tweaked systems to downplay the impact of engineered bases on low-level opponents. Using new troop weight values, the current method matches those who engineer bases with other players who’ve adopted the same strategy.

Clash Of Clans is available now on Android and iOS. This Clashiversary finale will run through next Friday.

What do you think of these Clashiversary troops? Are you glad the Builder has returned to his rightful place? Tell us in the comments section!
