Call Of Duty: WWII Zombies has an official cast, and the game’s official Twitter account is progressively revealing more about it. In preparation for the mode’s Comic-Con reveal on Thursday, here’s everything we know about the key actors and the characters they’ll be playing.

  • Katheryn Winnick [Marie Fischer]: We don’t know much about Marie, but her name has been featured in past Zombies teases. Her brother Klaus has been swayed by Nazi occult ideology following his discovery of Barbarossa’s Sword. Marie feels compelled to sneak behind Nazi lines to rescue him. As for Winnick, she’s most known for her role as Lagertha on History’s Vikings.
  • Elodie Yung [Olivia Durant]: Yung is best known for playing Elektra in The Defenders and the 2016 Daredevil TV show. She also played Miriam Wu from The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Her character has not been mentioned in past Zombies teases.
  • David Tennant [Drostan Hynd]: Tennant played the Tenth Doctor on Dr. Who for about 50 episodes starting in 2005. In Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, he took on the role of Barty Crouch Junior. We haven’t heard anything about his character yet, but that name definately sounds German to us. Might Hynd be a villain who is working with Klaus?
  • Undo Kier [Doktor Peter Glucksbringer]: This Downsizing actor will also have a role in Zombies, and, judging by the name, we also suspect he'll have some link to the German narrative. Is he a truly malevolent doctor, or is there something else to his character?
  • Ving Rhames [Jefferson Potts]: This Mission Impossible and Pulp Fiction star will supposedly lead the team of protagonists during the Zombies campaign. That means he'll be working with Marie and others to stop the Nazis from carrying out their evil bidding.

Judging by SHG’s uptick in Twitter activity, these key cast members might not be the last ones revealed before the Zombies panel. After all, a major name missing from this list is Klaus Fischer. After being set up as a huge part of the story, there’s no way this character won’t be privy to his own highlight reveal. That information could be shared on Twitter to prevent leaks, but it might also be announced during Thursday’s showcase.

Given Activision’s deep pockets, 2017’s Zombies cast is far from the first time we’ve seen Hollywood talent lending its skills to Call Of Duty: WWII. Most notably, Josh Duhamel of Transformers fame will be part of the game’s single-player campaign, taking on the role of Sgt. William Pierson. He’ll direct Jonathan Tucker’s Private “Red” Daniels and the First Infantry Division during a series of memorable battles from the devastating conflict.

With regard to Zombies specifically, a lean toward an experienced cast isn’t all that surprising either. In Infinite Warfare alone, we’ve witnessed guest appearances from Clerks’ Kevin Smith and Jackie Brown’s Pam Grier. These celebrity cameos are part of what has made the game’s co-op mode so interesting over the years.

It should be noted that these official announcements aren’t the only ones making noise in Zombies land over the past few days. Popular influencers also leaked what appeared to be an early cut of the Comic-Con trailer. Most links have since died, but you can read our full description of the clip here . Those who’ve been waiting for a truly terrifying Zombies experience will likely be pleased.

Call Of Duty: WWII comes to PS4, Xbox One and PC Nov. 3. The Zombies panel at SDCC is slated for 2:45 p.m. EDT on July 20.
