Call Of Duty: WWII got an online service update last night to bring Global Dedicated Servers to the game. Major online problems since launch have prompted the fix, but not every flaw has been resolved.

According to a tweet from Sledgehammer Games Tuesday evening, “Global Dedicated Servers are currently live on all platforms.” Those who are still having issues with post-match disconnects or lost progress are encouraged to tweet @ATVIassist with their connection type, NAT type and region info.

So far, it seems performance has improved on the whole, but there are still lag spikes and other glitches that will need tweaking over the next few days. Also, despite this server change, Call Of Duty: WWII’s multiplayer Headquarters feature remains offline. Those hopping into the centralized lobby can still pick up daily orders and redeem Supply Drops, but won’t be grouped with 48 other soldiers as originally intended. The fact that the feature has been inactive for nearly two weeks is troublesome, but at least in-match gameplay is getting the attention it deserves.

Activision is also putting the game’s CoD Point microtransaction system on the back burner. The paid currency will now be introduced to the game Nov. 21, as opposed to the planned launch date of Nov. 14. In other words, all hands are on deck to ensure players on every platform can have the best possible multiplayer experience. Activision won’t be asking for more of your money until that crucial competitive element is fixed.

Sledgehammer also pushed a PC update Tuesday morning, with a wide assortment of adjustments to keep the Windows experience in line with console versions. Weapons were balanced, support for Supply Drops and leaderboards was cleaned up and bugs were squashed across all modes. Especially if you’re playing on Steam, Call Of Duty: WWII should feel like a totally refreshed experience no matter how you choose to consume it.

Talk of Call Of Duty: WWII’s bugs began with a barrage of error reports in the hours after launch, and the fervor hasn’t quieted down much since. While it’s been pretty easy to get into a match and start playing, early adopters been disconnected from matches right before the final stats are tallied. This means lost XP, lost ranks and wasted time. The switch to Global Dedicated Servers should theoretically reduce those hitches significantly.

Call Of Duty: WWII is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Global Dedicated Servers should be functional across all platforms, but the switch may require an over-the-air patch.
