Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered assets have leaked again via a post on the game’s official subreddit. Backing up leaks from December, it appears two new weapons are in the works. On top of that, dual-wielding and attachment DLC may be coming too.

Last month we touched on leaked polygon models of an automatic shotgun, called the Kamchatka-12, and Modern Warfare 2’s XM-LAR. If the embedded images below are any indication, it appears development on both guns has moved forward. As of now the designs look fairly close to complete.

New to the leak, however, are specific data strings that reference left-and right-hand animations for handguns like the Desert Eagle, M9 and USP. The assumption here is that this content was added because players might soon be able to wield one of these weapons in each hand.

Further solidifying these claims is a coded list of attachments. For simplicity’s sake, we’ve dispensed with the file names for what we believe to be their possible equivalent in Modern Warfare Remastered.

- Akimbo [Dual-wielding]
- Heartbeat Sensor
- Holographic Sight
- Long Barrel
- Reflex Sight
- Tactical Knife
- Thermal Scope
- Variable Zoom
- Extended Mags

What’s particularly curious about some of these attachments is that many of them didn’t appear in the original Modern Warfare. Variable Zoom, for example, didn’t make its debut until the original Black Ops. The Heartbeat Sensor was added in Modern Warfare 2.

This tells us that Modern Warfare Remastered’s developers at Raven Software seem to be sneakily adding new content to what was originally marketed as a simple remake of a classic game. Some fans have noted that this collection of items from several games in the series makes the package feel a lot like Call Of Duty Online. The free game has only been released in China, and it was co-developed by Raven Software.

As with all datamined leaks, however, this rather convincing evidence should still be taken with a grain of salt. Even though development of these features seems to be progressing, nothing is official until it’s announced. Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare is getting a big DLC update later this month. Could Modern Warfare Remastered be privy to similar treatment?

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. It’s included in the Legacy Edition of Infinite Warfare.

What do you think of this possible DLC leak? Will Modern Warfare Remastered get new weapons and attachments soon? Tell us in the comments section!
