Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare update version 1.18 is live across PS4, Xbox One and PC. As documented in the official patch notes, the 1.3GB of additional content brings two new guns to the game. Here’s everything we know about the G-Rail assault rifle and Stallion .44 handgun.

  • G-Rail: Semi-auto gauss rifle that fires electromagnetically propelled bursts. Aiming down sights charges the weapon to fire a more powerful burst at max charge. It’s unlocked via challenge, Quartermaster or season pass. Complete at least 20 matches where you get at least five hipfire kills using the Stallion .44.
  • Stallion .44: Single fire ballistic revolver. Fanning the hammer provides faster fire from the hip that gets increasingly more accurate. It’s also unlocked via challenge, Quartermaster or season pass. Complete 20 matches where you get at least five kills while only using pistols.

In addition to these new firearms, check out the full patch notes below.

WHAT’S NEW

  • New Weapons: Stallion .44 (pistol) and G-Rail (AR)
  • New Calling Cards, Camos, Weapon Accessories and Gestures

GENERAL FIXES

  • Fix for the Proteus and ERAD shotgun alternates not tracking towards contract challenges
  • Fixed a bug on all hybrid sights on SMGs losing hip fire reticles when switching between hybrid sight modes
  • Allow players to gain access to the M.2187 and Proteus summer variants via supply drop and allow for that variant to unlock the base weapon
  • Fix for scrolling issues while in the Mark II Collection menu of the Quartermaster
  • Fix for a bug that would cause the screen resolutions on PC to not refresh when resizing the game window
  • Fixed a bug where calling cards earned in SP would appear in the After Action Report in MP with placeholder images

It’s also worth noting that the Call Of Duty Days Of Summer promotion is still active within Infinite Warfare, Modern Warfare Remastered and Black Ops 3 as well. For Infinite Warfare specifically, players are privy to a free Supply Drop every Monday with free items due on Wednesday and Friday. The DLC map called Turista is playable for free for a limited time, and limited weapon camos, emblems and other goodies are on offer, too. Just like 1.17 before it these updates are fairly minor, but the new weapons are a pretty big plus for those still invested in online multiplayer.

Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

‘Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare’ Review: The Shooter To Skip This Holiday Season
The rise of new properties, like Titanfall and Overwatch, combined with resurgent properties, like Destiny or Battlefield, make it hard to justify the shrinking number of new ideas in Call of Duty. Those who purchased Infinite Warfare on day one may not relate to anything in this article. But those with less fondness for the franchise, or just expecting COD:IW to at least match the quality of Advanced Warfare or Black Ops 3, should probably turn their attention elsewhere.
  • Cool weapons
  • A decent campaign story
  • Zombies is as fun and weird as ever
  • Multiplayer is too much of a grind for good weapons
  • There's not much originality in the entire package.
