The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the best games in recent years, and Nintendo has released a series of videos to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of this new title.

Cut into three parts, The Making of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild series has exclusive interviews with directors, composers, members of the development team as well as never before seen concept art.

SPOILER ALERT! While the video series doesn’t delve into story too much there are some minor spoilers about Breath of the Wild, so proceed with caution.

The first part of the series, The Beginning, dives right into why Breath of the Wild was delayed for so long and how the development team decided on what to change from the Zelda formula and what to keep.

Episode 2 talks about the “open world” concept of Breath of the Wild and how the development team made the final product a reality. There’s also a lot of inspiration and parallels to Wind Waker that Zelda fans will appreciate.

The final episode of the series goes deep into the story and characters of Breath of the Wild , and this is where most of the spoilery stuff is.

Zelda, Link and Ganon’s relationship is discussed further and the concept of their designs and personalities are really broken down in this episode. Zelda especially gets a lot of love from interviews with the directors and developers, as sher design and her personality took the longest to perfect in Breath of the Wild .
