Platinum Games' excellent action hack-and-slash adventure Bayonetta will get a special re-release in Japan as a two-in-one bundle called the Bayonetta Non-Stop Climax Edition for Nintendo Switch. And while the new edition will offer fans a cavalcade of goodies, the Japan-exclusive will not be available in other markets despite despite the universal positive response to Bayonetta and its Wii U-exclusive sequel Bayonetta 2 .

That said, via Nintendo Soup , both Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 that come in Japan’s Non-Stop Climax Edition will come with multi-language support: Japanese, English, Spanish, French, German and Italian. While this doesn’t necessarily suggest the special edition will be available to other markets at a future date, at least Non-native players in Japan will still be able to enjoy the game.

The Bayonetta Non-Stop Climax Edition comes with more than just physical versions of both games. It also features a steelbook case, special packaging, a set of original stickers, and 22 tarot-like cards with full-color illustrations. Western players aren't getting any of these sweet Bayonetta goods, but they can purchase digital and physical Nintendo Switch versions of both games, available separately.

Both Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 and the Non-Stop Climax Edition for the Switch console will be available in Japan on Feb. 17. Players in Japan can also pre-order the special edition right now via retailers like Yes-Asia. Players in North America can purchase separate retail versions of the game on Feb. 16.

Bayonetta fans have a lot to look forward to, including Bayonetta 3 that was just announced during The Game Awards back in December. The Switch exclusive is poised to make a big splash on the system, but there's no proposed release date just yet. It looks like Bayonetta fans are finally getting their moment in the spotlight, though some merch of Bayonetta clad in one of her amazing Nintendo-themed costumes would be nice. Won’t someone think of the collectors here?
