In Atlanta Season 1 episode 5, ‘Nobody Beats The Biebs,’ Alfred, Darius and Earn make an enemy. Paper Boi gets in a fight with a black version of Justin Bieber during a celebrity basketball game. Earn meets a woman who mistakes him for a manager named Alonzo. After using her to get into a managers-only event, Earn finds out the woman actually despises Alonzo for stealing her clients years back. She promises revenge, even after Earn assures her he’s not Alonzo. Meanwhile, Darius gets kicked out of a shooting range for using a dog as his target.

There wasn’t as much recognizable music in the latest episode. ‘Am I Black Enough For You’ by Billie Paul was the first song played after Alfred meets a news reporter who refuses to speak with him because her audience isn’t into the “whole gangster thing.”

Next up was ‘The Bag’ by SYPH played throughout the basketball game where Alfred tackles Justin Bieber to the ground on a fast break. SYPH is a Toronto rapper you may recognize from ‘Pull Up’ featuring Tory Lanez or the summer banger ‘Off The Boat’ featuring Smoke Dawg.

The final song doesn’t have a name yet. That’s because it’s Donald Glover singing. After the celebrity basketball game, Justin apologizes for getting into a fight with Paper Boi and shares his new song from his upcoming album, Justice. Certainly not in the usual wheelhouse of Childish Gambino as far as the vocals, but it could not have been more perfect for the Biebs.

Glover hasn’t given the song a name or said when it will release. However, Gambino fans who attended a festival celebrating his upcoming album Pharos report it sounds familiar (listen to the mp3 clip here ). Pharos doesn’t yet have a release date.

There were a few songs that played as very light background music in the episode. Both aren’t available to stream on YouTube, but for the purposes of the article they are ‘Always Be 17’ by Rex Schnelle and ‘Manhattan Cocktail’ by Terry Day.

Check back next week for a list of songs from Atlanta Episode 6.
