An upcoming season of American Horror Story will cross Season 1 Murder House with Season 3 Coven , Executive Producer Ryan Murphy confirmed at an Entertainment Weekly PopFest panel Sunday.

Confirming claims that the show would revisit Coven , Murphy said the season has already been fleshed out.

This crossover season will not immediately follow the current Season 6, My Roanoke Nightmare ; however it is in the pipeline. Murphy has said there are many logistics still to be sorted out, including whether Murder House stars Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott would be be board.

There will likely also be logistics about how actors who played roles in both seasons would navigate the crossover. For example Taissa Farmiga plays Violet Harmon in Murder House and Zoe Benson in Coven. Sarah Paulson plays Billie Dean Howard in Murder House and Cordelia Foxx in Coven.

Viewers have already seen Paulson play two roles within one season in Hotel, where she embodied both her Season 5 character, Sally McKenna, and Billie Dean Howard as a cameo.

Reports also indicate that during Season 6, Paulson will play her Season 2 Asylum character, Lana Winters, in addition to her Roanoke catcher, Audrey Tindall, who plays Shelby Miller within a documentary on the season. So AHS has no issue mixing and matching roles on its various seasons.
